Wart Boy

Here is the thing, my 16 year old has a plantar wart on his foot and he has been limping for over two weeks now and his granny gave him the stuff to put on it so that the skin around it will get eaten away. So tonight he took off his band aid and the whole top layer of his skin fell off and it is obvious that the wart is ready to pulled out. He says to his dad and I "well I don't want it to hurt in order to get it out" I looked at him and said "well bud it's going to hurt no matter what" his response to was well I want to go to the doctor and have them remove it.

Here is my theory on stuff like this, and I told him as well. If there is something the matter and it's a problem that can be taken care of at home then there is no need to go make a trip to the doctor. I told him weeks ago what was going to happen when it came time to get that thing out. I told him it is rooted and that it had to be yanked out. But oh no for some reason he never believes me or his dad. It's like we always have to prove ourselves to him. What the heck it that crap. When did adults have to start proving themselves and the knowledge that we have acquired over our many years to 16 year old??? Our youth then proceeded to tell us well when you go to the Doctor it doesn't hurt. I said, according to who??? I then proceeded to tell him no matter where, when or how that thing comes out it's going to hurt. He still looked at me like I am crazy, but what ever if he wants be known as the "wart boy" more power to him. Just don't touch any of my stuff.
